StoaHub Ballot Push #3 - Pushing Ballots - Debate

Go to Admin-Ballot Push-Assign Judges.

The "Rounds" screen will show you the schedule blocks for the tournament, how many ballots are assigned to that block, and how many are not pushed yet.

The "Events" screen will show all the individual events. If the event has been sectioned, you'll see the round highlighted in pink to indicate that.

The "Status" screen will show you the status of any round.

The "Reports" screen will allow you to create various reports regarding judging statistics.

Pushing Ballots - Debate

For Parli/TP, ballots will look like this:

You'll notice at the top there is a barcode and a Ballot Code number. The Ballot Code number is what you will use to track the ballot. You can also scan the barcode to bring up the ballot. All ballots will be in order by Ballot Code, NOT room number like in the past.

Go to "Rounds" and select the first round. In this case, Parli Round 1.

You'll now be taken to a screen that shows your event, the judges, and the ballots. The ballots are listed in Ballot Code order.

The judge standing in front of you has a badge with both a judge number and a barcode. You can either scan the judge barcode, type the judge number, or search for the judge by name. Let's use the example of Albert Einstein #882.

If I search his name, he comes up.

If I type his judge number, he comes up.

Or if I scan his judge barcode, he will come up.

Once I verify the judge, click "Select". You will now see a screen that shows the judge info box including who recruited them, if they have any club conflicts, if they have any competitor conflicts, and their judge history for the tournament.

On the right, you'll see the list of ballots in order by code. The green ones at the top are the ballots that are deemed to have no conflicts according to the settings and verified information at judge check-in.

Start with the top ballot. Show that ballot to the judge. Confirm there are no conflicts. If all is good, click "Assign". You'll see Albert Einstein has now been assigned that ballot.

If you look at your "Rounds" screen, you'll now see that 29 ballots are left to push out of the original 30 that you started with.

Let's take a look at a judge with conflicts. We'll use Papa Elf #1988. You'll see that he has a club conflict with "Elves".

On the right, all the ballots he can take are green at the top.

If you scroll down, the ballots that have already been assigned are blue.

Below the blue ballots, all ballots with a conflict are red. You'll see the reason for the conflict listed.

This doesn't mean you can't assign the ballot to that judge. But you should try and find a ballot without a conflict.

For LD, ballots will look similar.

Let's use Christopher Columbus #878. Let's say you want to give him both flight A and flight B in the same room. Start with flight A. We'll select ballot code 82, which is room MAIN 120.

Then type his number/name again. You'll see he already has a ballot for this round.

Also, the ballots on the right will all show that the judge has already been assigned a ballot for this round. Scroll to the other ballot for room MAIN 120 and assign that. You can see that he is now assigned to 2 ballots.

Once all ballots are assigned for that event, you'll see that there is now a checkmark next to the event and all of the ballots are blue.
