StoaHub TAB #8 - Entering Scores

To enter scores, click on Tab Ballots.

You can enter the ballot code on the ballot to bring up the exact ballot.

Or you can click on the event you want to tab. The Red number is how many ballots are left to tab for that round.

When you click on the event, all ballots will show up. Click "LOAD" on the ballot you want to enter.

For Debate, you'll enter the speaker points first and then the rank. The system will automatically move to the next box like it did in Joy. To enter the winner of the round, either type "A" for Aff/Gov or "N" for Neg/Opp. You can also manually select the winner by clicking Won for the winning team.

Once you have enter the scores and the winner, you can click Save & Load Next to take you to the next ballot in order, or click Save and it'll just record that one ballot.

You also have the option for forfeits and double loss/wins. Just follow the guide if you have those scenarios.

For Speech, all judges in a room will show up on 1 screen. To enter the scores, toggle which judge you're entering and enter the scores.

The scores will automatically move to the next speaker, just like in Joy.

Once you've entered the scores. Toggle the next Judge.

Then enter the last judge scores.

Once all judge scores have been entered, click Save & Load Next to bring up the next ballot, or just Save to return to the ballot screen.

If you have uneven rooms and you have to enter duplicate scores, you'll see a warning saying duplicate scores are not allowed.

To accept duplicate scores, you'll have to click the "override" box in the bottom left. Then when all the scores are entered, you can hit save.

If you have 10 students in a room, you can type "A" and a score of 10 will appear.

If a student is a no-show in a room, you have 2 options.

Option 1: You can either give the last place in the room.

**Option 2: You can type an "N" and they will receive a score of 999. This will ensure that they finish last for that event, regardless of how well they did in their other rounds. Make sure to check the "override" box in the bottom left before you click save.

** The philosophy behind option 2 is that since a student did not compete in 1 prelim round for any reason, (sick, late, forgot), they shouldn't be compared with everyone who competed in all prelim rounds. Most tournaments are either 2 or 3 prelim rounds, which means they could finish ahead of students who participated in all 2 or 3 rounds.

To view your check sheet, click on "Round Results".

Select the schedule block and the event.

Then click "Screen". From here the results sheet comes up and you can print it.

The ballots will be in order by ballot code.
