Setting Up A New Account

StoaHub is our new league platform that will host Stoa clubs, tournament registration, tournament scoring and balloting, and tournament results. For an efficient registration process, have one parent register first, followed by the other parent and the students. Note that the original parent email address will be the main email address that represents the family for specific information such as Stoa member benefits.

  1. Click on the green “Create an Account” button.

  1. Enter your first and last name, email address, and new StoaHub password. Then confirm the password and select your primary role as “Parent.”
  2. Click “I agree to privacy policy & terms.
  3. Click “I’m not a robot”.
  4. Click Sign Up

  1. Enter your phone number.
  2. Enter your state.
  3. Enter your timezone
  4. You can agree to texts, which will authorize Stoa to send specific text messages regarding league and tournament information.
  5. Hit “Next”.

  1. Select “New Family Registration”. Under “Family Name”, this will be used to reference all those associated with your family (judges, students, parents). Please use the default, which is your last name. This will help clubs easily identify your registration at tournaments. Once you’ve entered your address, hit “Next”.

  1. Enter your students one at a time. The initial setup only allows for 4 entries, but you can add more students later, or you can skip this step and add your students later.

  1. Clubs. Here you will select which club your students are in. If you don’t see your club, hit skip this step and move to the next step. You can add your student to a club later. See step 28.

  1. Your family is now set up in StoaHub!
  2. To add your spouse, or other students, click on the trophy icon in the upper right corner. Then select “My Family”.
  3. To add a competitor, click on “Add New” and fill out the information.
  4. To add your spouse, click on “Judges” and then “Add New”.
  5. When you hit “Save Judge”, that judge will get an email notification that their account has been created. They need to click on that email to finish setting up their account.
  6. This will take them to StoaHub. They will click “Login” and enter their email address and temporary password. Once they login, they are connected to the family profile.
  7. Click on “Edit Profile”
  8. Enter your state and your role. You can select multiple roles if you are both a parent and a coach, or an alumni and a coach. Click on the green update button in the bottom right corner and you’re done!
  9. If you skipped adding your student to a club in step 13, you can go back and do it here. Click on the trophy icon in the upper right corner and click on my family.
  10. Click on Competitors to show your students. Select which student you want to add a club to.
  11. This will bring up the student profile. Scroll down to the bottom where the debate club and speech club fields are.
  12. To select which club your student belongs to, you can either type it out or scroll the list. Once you’ve selected your club, hit update. Note that if your club is not listed, your club administrator needs to create the club in StoaHub.
  13. Your request to join the club will be sent to your club administrator, who will need to approve your membership.

NOTE: Your students must join a Stoa approved club in order to register for tournaments!
