Connecting a Student Profile to a Family Profile


If your student created their own profile and it is not connected to your family account, here are the steps to connect it. 

  1. Log into your parent StoaHub account.
  2. Click on the trophy icon in the upper right corner and click on My Family.
  3. If you have already created your student, they should show up in the competitor table. If your student is already there, skip step 4.
  4. **If you have not already created your student, click on Add a new competitor. Enter their information. When you get to email, make sure you enter the email address that is associated with the account that your student created. At the bottom, check the box that says “Yes, create a StoaHub account for this competitor / Connect this competitor to an existing StoaHub account”. Then click “Save Competitor”.
  5. Have your student log in to their StoaHub account.
  6. Have them click on the trophy icon in the upper right corner and click on My Family.
  7. Have them click on the blue button that says “Request to Join”.
  8. Have them type your Family name and click “Search”.
  9. Make sure your family name comes up and click on “Request Access”.
  10. Go back to your parent profile, click on the trophy icon in the upper right corner and click on My Family.
  11. On the “Roles” menu, you should see a blue number 1, which indicates that you have a pending request. Click on the “Roles” menu.
  12. Click on the “Requests” tab. You should see your student there. Click “View Request”.
  13. For “Role”, select Child. 
  14. Under Family Admin, if you select this box, it allows the student to have authority to register for tournaments on behalf of your family so they don’t have to use your login information. If you don’t check this box, only you or other family administrators can register for tournaments. You can edit this selection at any time.
  15. Under “Can Vote”, if you select this box, it allows the student to represent your family during the annual spring vote. Remember that each family may only vote once as a family, not individually. You can edit this selection at any time.
  16. Once you have made your selection, click “Approve”.

Congratulations. You have now linked your student’s profile to your family profile.
